Students force roll back of fee at JVJ College
The agitating students of Drawing and Painting department at J V Jain College got an order issued by the V.C., CCS University for rolling back of increased fee. A delegation of students led by Dr. Vivek Agrawal and Students Union activist Manjeet Singh, Sahdev Gurjar, Gajendra Sharma, Meenakshi, Sapna, Ruhina Nusrat etc., had met the Vice Chancellor Mr. Goyal to apprise him of the hardships being faced by the students in the wake of unscheduled fee hike without any notice. The VC having sensed the emergency like situation issued instructions to take the hike back to a lot of exhileration of the agitated students.
The I/charge of Examination A.K. Jain told the newspersons that the forms will now be submitted with revised fee on Friday morning.
Results declared in various schools and colleges
It is season for joyous celebrations interspersed by occasional gloom which result from the results of annual exams being declared in various schools these days. While in Behat Principal Mukesh Kamboj of Shaheed Udham Singh Memorial School, Dandauli Khera congratulated the successful students and gave away trophies and certificates, the students of Maharshi Dayanand Junior High School, Saharanpur also had a gala time celebrating their success after year-long hard work.
K P Singh, the State Secretary of U.P. Recognised Schools Teachers Association (non-financed) expressed his faith that the talented students of today will form the solid backbone of the nation. Before his address, the students offered Saraswati Vandana and a welcome song. Chhavi Mittal, Ankita, Sakshi, Swati, Pravesh, Tinku, Shivani, Sonia and Saurabh etc. were among those students who stood in merit.
Quantum Global distributes scholarships
Toppers Institute of Science and Mathematics together with Quantum Global Campus gave away scholarships to the students. Prashant Gautam of St. Mary’s Academy and Rudra Pratap of Rainbow got Rs. 5,000/- each by way of scholarship. The students thanked the institutions for this financial support which came their way as a coveted scholarship.
