Students of Saharanpur are no less in terms of talent with anyone, yet, in absence of proper education, training and guidance, majority of them do not get what they have potential for.  But not anymore.  RAMSA and the saharanpur.com, ably supported by Glocal University have drawn a road map to reach out to the students of not only cities, but also suburbs and villages of the district Saharanpur for career related guidance.  The three came together, decided to work and move together in right earnest today at a seminar on the topic Importance of Career Counselling at Clark Hotel auditorium, Dehradun Road, Saharanpur in which various principals, teachers, educationists and parents participated.

The Commissioner of Saharanpur  Bhuvnesh Kumar, IAS stressed the need of making students aware of various career options at an early age and of helping them in making a suitable choice to bring out the best hidden in them.  “Children, when asked about their career choice, often talk of becoming IAS, doctor, engineer, CA etc.  But when asked who their role models are, their list contains the names – Sachin Tendulkar,  Amitabh Bachhan,  Saina Nehwal  and Salman Khan!  Why sports and entertainment industry cannot be excellent career choice?  Quizzed the Chief Guest Bhuvnesh Kumar.  He also enquired from the representatives of different schools if they have got a functional career counseling cell at their end, for, schools are the most ideal place for providing career counselling to students, Mr. Kumar added.

Prof. Seema Dheer of Punjab Technical University, Dr. Aiyaz of Glocal University talked of myriad of career opportunities in agriculture and law respectively.  Dr. Inderjeet Gupta, with the help of power point presentation, laid the foundation of the discussion and told that career counseling is not a onetime process but is a lifelong activity since with changing technologies, changing circumstances and ever changing level of education and experience, new avenues open up before us.  What is good for us today may not be good tomorrow also.  We should not only be able to adapt ourselves to the changing circumstances, we should explore and utilize them in our favour also.

Sushant Singhal,  founder editor of The Saharanpur Dot Com,  told the gathering that aim of thesaharanpur dot com is to make Saharanpur a respectable brand name so that all products of Saharanpur – including the students, are looked at with respect and confidence in different parts of the world. Whatever is being produced in Saharanpur should carry an invisible ISI mark and students of Saharanpur are no exception.  If we take their good care, offer them proper guidance and training they deserve, they would start receiving preferential treatment over others.  The Saharanpur Dot Com and Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan, with the help of Glocal University will cover the entire range of Hindi and English medium schools in Saharanpur district for this very purpose.

Mr. Manish Kumar,  Branch Manager, HDFC Bank, Gangoh also spoke of his experience when he was scoffed at by his own well-meaning parents and relatives when he revealed ‘agriculture’ as his career choice.  Isn’t agriculture a great career choice?  After all, agriculture is an infinitely wide arena covering vast choices including bio medical sciences, bio-chemistry and international marketing to name a few.   He also felt sad that self-employment doesn’t get the importance it deserves when we are informing students of various career choices.

केन्द्र की आयात-निर्यात नीति दोषपूर्ण : भारतीय किसान संघ

भारतीय किसान संघ ने बकाया गन्ना भुगतान न मिलने पर आक्रोश व्यक्त करते हुए कहा है कि देश में ऐसा पहली बार हो रहा है कि गन्ना मिल माननीय उच्च न्यायालय के आदेशों की भी अवहेलना कर रही हैं।  बाढ़ से पहले से ही सताये हुए किसान अपने गन्ने का भुगतान न दिये जाने के कारण भुखमरी के कगार पर आ पहुंचे हैं और सरकार की ओर से भी कोई राहत नहीं मिल रही है।

भारतीय किसान संघ के महामंत्री श्यामवीर त्यागी ने कहा कि केन्द्र की आयात-निर्यात नीति दोषपूर्ण होने का खमियाजा किसानों को भुगतना पड़ रहा है।   सरकार सिर्फ डीज़ल, पैट्रोल, खाद, बीज, दवाई और खाद्यान्नों के दाम बढ़ाये चली जा रही है । उन्होंने कहा कि ये सरकार 2014 में जायेगी पर किसानों को पूरी तरह से बरबाद करके ही जायेगी!   प्रदेश में सांप्रदायिक सद्‌भाव में निरंतर आ रही कमी का दुष्परिणाम गरीब मज़दूर और किसानों को भुगतना पड़ रहा है, उनका ही खून इन दंगों में बहता है।  यह सब तुरन्त बन्द होना चाहिये।

बैठक में पारित प्रस्ताव में कहा गया कि दंगे की निष्पक्ष जांच करके  महिलाओं से छेड़छाड़, गौवंश हत्या आदि  पर प्रभावी रोक लगाने व दोषियों के विरुद्ध कड़ी कार्यवाही करके ही सरकार व्यापक असंतोष को काबू कर सकती है।   बैठक में जनपद के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों से प्रतिनिधियों ने भाग लिया जिनमें प्रांतीय उपाध्यक्ष राकेश त्यागी,  जिला अध्यक्ष अरविन्द सिंह, जिला उपाध्यक्ष ठा. राजपाल सिंह, खचेड़ू सिंह, राजेन्द्र फौजी, धर्मेन्द्र पुंडीर , धर्मसिंह सैनी , चौ. ओमपाल सिंह, गीताराम त्यागी, सत्येन्द्र शर्मा, प्रमोद धीमान आदि प्रमुख रहे।

 

थाना चिलकाना में पैट्रोल पंप पर हुई लूट का खुलासा हुआ

19 सितंबर को निम पैट्रोल पंप पर हुई लूट का पुलिस ने खुलासा करने का दावा किया है जिसमें सेल्स मैन मुमताज़ से एक मोबाइल व 92 हज़ार रुपये लूटे गये थे और 35 वर्षीय दिलशाद की हत्या की गई थी।

थाना चिलकाना व क्राइम ब्रांच की संयुक्त टीम द्वारा दो अभियुक्त मंसूर पहलवान (पठानपुरा निवासी) और अय्यूब (मछियारान निवासी, थाना कुतुबशेर)  को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया परन्तु 4 अभियुक्त अकरम, शमशेर, आरिफ फकीर और असलम काला भागने में सफल रहे।

पुलिस पार्टी में श्री परवेज़ आलम, प्रभारी निरीक्षक, चिलकाना, उ.नि. सुशील वर्मा, जगदीश सिंह,  क्राइम ब्रांच के उपनिरीक्षक प्रशान्त कपिल, रविन्द्र चन्द्र पंत, हैड कांस्टेबिल मुबारिक हसन, कांस्टेबिल पुष्पेन्द्र शुक्ला, सुहेल खान, संजय सोलंकी आदि शामिल थे।

समाजवादी युवजन सभा के कार्यकर्त्ताओं ने सपा से कांग्रेस में और फिर पुनः कांग्रेस से सपा में आये पूर्व सहारनपुर नगर पालिका चेयरमैन व पूर्व विधायक इमरान मसूद को सपा द्वारा लोकसभा प्रत्याशी घोषित करने पर सपा सुप्रीमो मुलायम सिंह यादव का आभार व्यक्त किया और मिठाई बांट कर अपनी खुशी का इजहार किया।

चोरों का आतंक

व्यापारी एसोसियेशन चन्द्रशेखर बाज़ार (कक्कड़ गंज)  ने जनरेटरों के कीमती पुर्ज़ों की लगातार चोरी को लेकर पुलिस द्वारा कोई कार्यवाही न किये जाने पर आक्रोश जताया और विरोध स्वरूप अपनी दुकानें बन्द कर दीं।    बाद में प्रभारी कोतवाल चावड़ा जी  के चोरों को पकड़ने और सुरक्षा प्रदान करने के आश्वासन पर दुकान खोल दी गईं।

 

कानून व्यवस्था पूरी तरह से चौपट: सुशील सैनी

भाजपा किसान मोर्चे के पूर्व प्रदेश मंत्री  सुशील सैनी ने प्रेस नोट जारी करके प्रदेश सरकार को कटघरे में खड़ा करते हुए दावा किया कि विकास के नाम पर बसपा सरकार के कार्यकाल में सिर्फ बसपा नेताओं ने अपना विकास किया था और अब सपा शासन में डेढ़ वर्ष में ही जनता त्राहि त्राहि करने लगी है।   सड़कें टूट कर पहले से भी बदतर हो गई हैं,  बिजली पानी की गंभीर किल्लत है, चिकित्सा व्यवस्था चौपट है,  जनपद सहारनपुर के अनेक क्षेत्रों में बाढ़ आने के बाद बेघरबार होगये गरीबों को राहत देना तो दूर, उनका दुःख दर्द पूछने की भी मंत्रियों को फुरसत नहीं है जबकि लैपटॉप बांटने की होड़ लगी हुई है।   कानून व्यवस्था पूरी तरह से चौपट होचुकी है, पुलिसवालों से ही उनकी बंदूकें छीनने की वारदातें होने लगें तो आम जनता की दुरवस्था की कल्पना ही की जा सकती है।

उन्होंने कहा कि जिस समय किसान को खेत में मेहनत करनी होती है, वह गन्ने के बकाया भुगतान के लिये धरने पर बैठा हुआ है।   बेरोज़गारों को रोज़गार देने में असमर्थ सरकार लॉलीपॉप दिखा कर खुश करने की चेष्टा कर रही है।

 

महाराजा अग्रसैन जयन्ती की जोरदार तैयारियां

अग्रकुल प्रवर्तक शिरोमणि महाराजा अग्रसैन की जयन्ती  वैश्य समाज प्रति वर्ष बड़े धूम धाम से मनाता है ।  इस वर्ष भी  वैश्य अग्रवाल सभा समन्वय समिति (रजि.) के बैनर तले, जनपद सहारनपुर में सक्रिय अनेकानेक संस्थाएं अग्रसैन जयन्ती समारोह की तैयारियों में जुट गई हैं।

रविवार 29 सितंबर 2013 से शनिवार 5 अक्तूबर तक चलने वाले “महाराजा अग्रसैन जयन्ती समारोह 2013 का विवरण देते हुए  वैश्य अग्रवाल सभा समन्वय समिति (रजि.) के अध्यक्ष आदेश अग्रवाल व कोषाध्यक्ष राजेश गुप्ता ने पत्रकारों को बताया कि सहारनपुर जनपद के 50 से भी अधिक वैश्य अग्रवाल समाज की संस्थायें  समन्वय समिति से सम्बद्ध हैं जो अपने स्थानीय स्तर पर तो जयन्ती कार्यक्रम का आयोजन करती ही हैं, साथ ही समन्वय समिति द्वारा आयोजित किये जाने वाले सप्ताह भर तक चलने वाले जयन्ती समारोह में भी पूरा सहयोग प्रदान करती हैं।

5 अक्तूबर को शोभा यात्रा

शोभायात्रा प्रभारी आलोक अग्रवाल व रमेश तायल ने इस अवसर पर बताया कि  नयी पीढ़ी के युवाओं में प्रति वर्ष निकाली जाने वाली शोभायात्रा को लेकर जबरदस्त उत्साह है ।  प्रातः 10.30 पर अग्रवाल धर्मशाला, गऊशाला रोड़, सहारनपुर से यह शोभायात्रा आरंभ होगी जिसमें हज़ारों  अग्रबंधु, अग्र बहिनें, माताएं व बच्चे सम्मिलित होंगे।  नगर के विभिन्न बाज़ारों को इस अवसर पर तोरण द्वारों से सजाया जायेगा,   शोभायात्रा के मार्ग में जनता निरंतर अपने – अपने घरों की छतों से पुष्पवर्षा करेगी,  विभिन्न धर्मों, संप्रदायों के संगठनों  के पदाधिकारियों द्वारा इस शोभायात्रा का स्थान स्थान पर स्वागत किया जायेगा जो सांप्रदायिक सद्भाव को पुष्ट करता है।   विशेषकर चौक फव्वारे पर जामा मस्जिद के पदाधिकारियों द्वारा भी इस शोभायात्रा का स्वागत किया जाता रहा है।

वैश्य अग्रवाल समाज माधव नगर द्वारा जयन्ती कार्यक्रम 16 अक्तूबर को

पिछले लगभग तीन दशकों से  माधव नगर, न्यू माधव नगर, विष्णुधाम, तिलक नगर आदि क्षेत्रों के अग्रकुल वंशजों  को एकसूत्र में पिरोये रखने में तल्लीन वैश्य अग्रवाल समाज माधव नगर ने इस वर्ष का महाराजा अग्रसैन जयन्ती कार्यक्रम आगामी 16 अक्तूबर को निर्धारित किया है।   कार्यक्रम में वैश्य अग्रवाल परिवारों के उन प्रतिभाशाली बच्चों को सम्मानित करने की भी परम्परा है, जिन्होंने अपने स्कूल, कालेज या कैरियर में कोई विशेष उपलब्धि हासिल की हो !   इसके अतिरिक्त बच्चों की कलात्मक अभिरुचि को प्रोत्साहन देने के लिये कला प्रतियोगिता,  बच्चों के लिये नृत्य प्रतियोगिता, सामान्य ज्ञान प्रतियोगिता व महिलाओं के लिये मेहंदी प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया जाता है।

निःशुल्क  हृदय रोग जांच शिविर का आयोजन

पश्चिमी उ. प्र. संयुक्त उ. व्या. मंडल, रोटरी क्लब सहारनपुर ग्रेटर, भारत विकास परिषद्‍ सहारनपुर मेन तथा हृदय ज्योति फाउंडेशन नई दिल्ली के संयुक्त प्रयासों से आज होटल पंजाब,  पोस्ट ऑफिस रोड, सहारनपुर में    निःशुल्क  हृदय रोग जांच शिविर का आयोजन का आयोजन किया गया जिसमें  राष्ट्रीय ख्याति के फोर्टिस एस्कॉर्ट्स अस्पताल (Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi) के कुशल चिकित्सकों ने  हृदय रोगियों की निःशुल्क  जांच कर उनको चिकित्सकीय परामर्श दिया।

एड्स के बारे में जागरुकता बाइक रैली का आयोजन

सहारनपुर जनपद की लोकप्रिय मुख्य चिकित्सा अधिकारी डा. रंजना चौधरी, जो  आजकल जनपद में चिकित्सा व्यवस्था में घोर अनियमितताओं के सुधार का बीड़ा उठाये हुए हैं और लगभग रोज़ ही अपने औचक निरीक्षणों व विधिक कार्यवाही के चलते समाचार पत्रों की सुर्खियों में छाई रहती हैं, आज एड्स के बारे में जनजागरुकता हेतु बाइक रैली को हरी झंडी दिखा कर विदा करती दिखाई दीं।   एड्स, यौन रोग व अनचाहे गर्भ से बचने के उपाय के बारे में जन – सामान्य को जागरुक करने के उद्देश्य से इस रैली का आयोजन National Aids Control Organisation व हिन्दुस्तान समाचार पत्र समूह द्वारा किया गया था।

रविकान्त यादव, संचार अधिकारी ने बताया कि शहरी क्षेत्रों में  जनसंख्या की अधिकता के कारण और ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में स्व्यास्थ सेवाओं व सफाई की कमी के कारण अनेकानेक बीमारियों को पनपने का मौका मिल रहा है।

एकात्म मानववाद के प्रणेता प्रखर चिन्तक व पूर्ववर्ती  जनसंघ (वर्तमान भाजपा) के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष स्व. पंडित दीन दयाल उपाध्याय  के जन्मदिन के अवसर पर भारतीय उपाध्याय समाज ने 25 सितंबर को केक काट कर खुशी मनाई ।

सभा में धर्मपाल, रणधीर, विक्की, अरविन्द, राहुल, नरेशपाल, रविन्द्र, डा. महेन्द्र, मनोज, रामकुमार, बृजपाल, अनिल, अंकुर, विजयपाल, नितिश (सभी उपाध्याय)  आदि सैंकड़ों लोग उपस्थित रहे।

एकात्म मानववाद की अवधारणा

उल्लेखनीय है कि स्व. पं. दीनदयाल उपाध्याय ने अमेरिकी  पूंजीवाद व कार्ल मार्क्स द्वारा प्रतिपादित मार्क्सवाद की कमियों  को पहचानते हुए एकात्म मानववाद की अवधारणा प्रस्तुत की थी जिसमें उन्होंने कहा था कि जहां पूंजीवाद के अन्तर्गत व्यक्ति  समाज का दुश्मन बन जाता है, वहीं साम्यवाद में समाज व्यक्तिगत स्वतंत्रता का हनन कर्त्ता हो जाता है।  ऐसे में भारतीय ऋषि मुनियों ने जो जीवन पद्धति विकसित की उसे हम एकात्म मानववाद कह सकते हैं ।  इसमें व्यक्ति समाज के लिये और समाज व्यक्ति के हित में कार्य करता है और दोनों ही एक दूसरे की  प्रगति में सहयोगी बन जाते हैं।   अमेरिका व अन्य पाश्चात्य देशों द्वारा प्रतिपादित पूंजीवाद में व्यक्ति की स्वतंत्रता को सर्वोपरि माना गया है भले ही वह समाज के हित के विरुद्ध ही क्यों न जा रही हो।   इसी प्रकार साम्यवाद में समष्टि के हित की बात करते हुए व्यक्ति के हित को कुचल दिया जाता है जबकि अनेकों व्यक्तियों से मिल कर ही तो समाज बनता है।  यदि कोई जीवन पद्धति व्यक्ति को समाज का दुश्मन समझेगी तो फिर समाज का प्रत्येक घटक एक दूसरे का दुश्मन ही दिखाई देगा।    यह सब विकृत चिन्तन का परिणाम होगा।

इसके सर्वथा विपरीत भारतीय चिन्तन शैली में माना गया है कि व्यक्ति को जहां अपने विकास व उन्नति की स्वतंत्रता है वहीं दूसरी ओर समाज को भी उससे  अनेकानेक अपेक्षाएं हैं जिनको पूरा करना उसका धर्म है।  ऐसे में व्यक्तिगत धर्म और सामाजिक धर्म के बीच में तालमेल बैठाने की पद्धति का नाम ही एकात्म मानववाद है।    स्व. पंडित दीन दयाल उपाध्याय ने  इस जीवन शैली के आधार पर ही देश की रीति-नीति निर्धारित करने की जिम्मेदारी  तत्कालीन जनसंघ (वर्तमान में भाजपा) को सौंपी थी।   परन्तु हम भारतीय हैं और विदेशी शिक्षण व्यवस्था के अन्तर्गत स्कूल कॉलेज की पढ़ाई करते करते यह मानसिकता विकसित कर लेते हैं कि  हम भारतीय अपनी खुद की जीवन पद्धति विकसित करने में समर्थ नहीं हैं ।  हमें या तो पूंजीवादी रास्ते पर चलना होगा या साम्यवादी रास्ते पर !   जो बात विदेश से अंग्रेज़ी पुस्तकों में लिख कर आई है, उससे बेहतर हम भारतीय भला कैसे सोच सकते हैं?   इसी कारण एकात्म मानववाद भारत की विश्व को सर्वश्रेष्ठ देन होने के बावजूद भारत में ही लोकप्रिय नहीं हो पाया है और भारत के अंग्रेज़ी दां अर्थशास्त्री एकात्म मानववाद की ए, बी, सी, डी भी नहीं जानते  और देश को अपनी  आयातित जानकारी व शिक्षा के आधार पर ही चलाना चाहते हैं।

आई.एम.ए. भवन में आयोजित कला-संगोष्ठी

सहारनपुर : 4 जून । क्या ललित कलायें बच्चों को एक बेहतर इंसान बनाती हैं? क्या वह बच्चों को एक बेहतर कैरियर भी प्रदान कर सकती हैं? क्या ललित कलाओं का मानव जीवन में अभिन्न स्थान होना चाहिये? सहारनपुर में आज आयोजित की गई कला संगोष्ठी इन मुद्दों पर विशिष्ट कलाकारों के विचार आमंत्रित करने के लिये आयोजित की गई थी जिसमें डा. विज्ञान व्रत (मुख्य अतिथि), डा. आर.पी. शुक्ल (अध्यक्षता), डा.एस.के. कुशवाहा, कुरुक्षेत्र वि. विद्यालय, डा. जगदीश वर्मा, मुज़फ्फरनगर, डा. राम विरंजन, डा. रश्मि शर्मा, डा. ममता सिंह, डा. महावीर सिंह, डा. डी.सी. अग्रवाल, डा. मधु जैन, डा. संतोष बिन्द आदि प्रख्यात् कलाकारों व कलाविदों को आमंत्रित करके एक सार्थक प्रयास किया गया कि कला की शिक्षा को एक जन-आन्दोलन का स्वरूप दिया जाये।

इस अवसर पर बोलते हुए डा. आर.पी. शुक्ल ने कहा कि आप जीवन के किसी भी क्षेत्र में कार्य करें, उसमें निपुणता व विशिष्टता हासिल करने से ही सफलता और प्रसिद्धि हासिल होती है। कला तो मानव जीवन के जन्म से ही उसके साथ अभिन्न रूप से जुड़ जाती है। कला का सबसे बड़ा योगदान यह है कि यह एक पीढ़ी को पुरानी सारी पीढ़ियों से जोड़े रखती है। हम यदि अपने 5000 वर्ष पुराने पुरखों के बारे में जानते हैं तो यह सिर्फ कला के बलबूते ही संभव हो पा रहा है। केनवास पर, मिट्टी से, पत्थर पर आकृतियां उकेर कर हम अपने वर्तमान को स्थायित्व देते हैं, उसे अमर कर देते हैं। मुख्य अतिथि पद से बोलते हुए डा. विज्ञान व्रत ने कहा कि यदि हमें बच्चों को संवेदनशील बनाना है तो ललित कलाओं के प्रति उनमें रुचि जाग्रत करने के लिये हमें प्रयास करने होंगे। डा. रामबली प्रजापति ने कला बाज़ार और कला के अर्थशास्त्र पर प्रकाश डाला। इस अवसर पर बाहर से विशेष आमंत्रण पर पधारे सभी अतिथियों को शॉल ओढ़ा कर सम्मानित किया गया।

इससे पहले गोष्ठी का शुभारंभ करते हुए राष्ट्रीय माध्यमिक शिक्षा अभियान के जिला समन्वयक अरिमर्दन गौड़ ने इस कला-अभियान के महत्व एवं उपादेयता पर प्रकाश डालते हुए कहा कि आज की पीढ़ी कला से दूर हो रही है, स्कूल कालेजों में कला विषय व कला संकाय धीरे – धीरे बन्द किये जा रहे हैं क्योंकि इन विषयों के लिये छात्र ही नहीं मिल रहे हैं। समाज में विषमता, कटुता, वैमनस्य बढ़ रहे हैं। कला को जीवन से दूर करने के ये दुष्परिणाम सामने आ रहे हैं। ऐसे में हमारा प्रयास है कि देश के लब्धप्रतिष्ठ कलाकारों को एक मंच पर लाकर इस मुद्दे पर न सिर्फ चर्चा कराई जाये बल्कि उनके व्यक्तित्व व कृतित्व से बच्चों को प्रेरित किया जाये, उनको रोल मॉडल के रूप में बच्चों के सम्मुख प्रस्तुत किया जाये। इसके लिये 5 जून से 15 जून तक स्थानीय एस.डी. इंटर कालिज में कला की कार्यशाला का आयोजन किया जा रहा है, जिसमें विशिष्ट कलाकार अपनी कला का प्रदर्शन बच्चों के सम्मुख करेंगे ताकि बच्चे एक कलाकृति का निर्माण होता हुआ अपने सम्मुख देख सकें और उससे प्रेरणा ग्रहण कर सकें। इसके पश्चात्‌ दि. 16 जून को एस.डी. इंटर कालिज में ही कला प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया जायेगा। 17 जून से 19 जून तक स्थानीय जनमंच में सद्यःनिर्मित वातानुकूलित कलादीर्घा में कला प्रदर्शनी का आयोजन किया जायेगा।

Smart Dance Academy Dance Workshop

Today, Smart Dance Academy started its 1^st of 4 dance and skating workshops in the city at Asha Modern School.  The lamp lightening ceremony was jointly performed by Vijesh Joshi and Pravesh Dhawan.    Talking to the news persons Nayak Khanna and Shivani Khanna of Smart Dance Academy informed that other camps are to start at KLG Public School, SK Bal Vidya Mandir and Smart Kids School where students would not only learn new skills but would be spending their fun-filled summer vacations in the most joyous manner.

The children who performed during inauguration ceremony included Kamal, Amit, Himanshu, Krishna, Aakash, Rishi, Sanya, Bhanu, Shivanshu, Puneet, Aditya, Mani, Nikhil,  Deepika,  Sanjana among others.

Raising fee infuriates students of JVJ College

Drawing and Paintaing students of J V Jain College Saharanpur were in for an unpleasant surprise yesterday when they learnt that without any previous notice, their fee was tripled !  Unable to get any reasonable reply from the Principal S.K. Jain, they start agitating under the leadership of Manjeet Singh – the candidate for the Presidential post in Students Union.   Seizing this god-sent opportunity, Manjeet Singh also came forward with many of his followers and demanded explaination from the Principal as to how decision to raise the fee three times could be taken without even informing the students before the start of the session.   Gajendra Sharma, Sahdev, Sachin, Sapna, Reena, Minakshi, Sonia, Sangeeta, Naina also offered his company during gherao of the Principal.  Manjeet vowed to take the fight to CCS University if the demands are not met at the college level.

Summer Child Fete at Khalsa Public School

Swings, Child games, Micky Mouse and many more attractions entertained students and their parents of Khalsa Public School today as a Fate was organised by the school.  Inaugurating the fete, the school manager Mr. Jasbeer Bajaj and the Principal Mandeep Kaur Bajaj said that such events tend to develop various soft-skills viz. organising capability, leadership qualities, team-work, management etc., in the students when they are asked to shoulder the responsibility of organising such events.  Added to it is the great fun they have on the successful completion of such event.

The fete had food stalls, games, fun rides and also a cultural stage where students performed on movie songs.  Pooja Bajaj, Dimple Bajaj, Vice Principal Meenu Sharma, Avneet Kaur, Govinder Singh, Ramandeep Singh, Muneet Singh, Gagandeep Singh etc.,  were also present there.

Mango Festival by Agrawal Mahila Mitr Mandal

Tambola, Paper games, Fun Quiz, Mango mocktail were some of the attraction at Mango Festival organised today by Agrawal Mahila Mitra Mandal, Saharanpur.  The Chairperson Saroj Goyal, Secretary Rajni Garg, Treasurer Neelam Mittal inaugurated the festival being organised by Renu Singhal and Nidhi Garg – the convenors.

Archana Goyal was declared winner in Mango mocktail whereas Ritu Singhal stood second.  Poonam Garg, Arti, Nitul, Mamta, Archana, Chhavi, Suman, Archana, Deepali, Avani, Anju, Sangeeta, Priya, Kavita,  Monika, Pooja, Reena, Sanju, Meenal, Suniti and Jyoti were among those who were spotted there.

Mokshayatan PD Camp

A month-long unique personality development camp has been scheduled by Mokshayatan International Yogashram in the coming month.   Dance, yoga and meditation, self-defence, confidence building, chanting of vedic rites, behavioural science have been included in the syllabus of the camp.

Talking to newspersons, Mr. N.K. Sharma and Vishal Gulati informed that the camp would be open to all with no age-bar.

NCC Trainers get training

Those who have the responsibility to train NCC cadets received highly useful suggestions on being more effective as a trainer and these tips came to 83td U.P. Battalion trainers from various veterans like Col. B.S. Negi, Major Sudhir, Sec. Officer Brijesh Pundir today at 8.00 a.m. at the launch of of ANO cadre.

Environmental Conservation has also been included this year among the important topics which would be taken up by the trainers during their sessions with the cadets.   Chief Officer Vinod Kumar Sharma, Major Ashwani Bhardwaj, Lt. Rajesh Kumar, Lt. Arvind Kumar Sharma, Subedar Major Vijay Kumar, Subedar S.B. Thapa, Subedar Y.B. Tai-kwando Team from Saharanpur

Tai-kwando team from Saharanpur selected for State-level Championship. The championship will be held on 21 and 22 May.  The selected team members are getting intensive training from 13th May which will continue till 18th. National Tai-kwando championship will be organised in June in Manipur.  Saharanpur Tai-kwando Association is offering financial support to the candidates by financing their way into the State Level Championship.  The panel of jury had Nitesh Verma and Pradeep Singh. Judges were Anwar Ali, Vivek Sharma, Sanjay Arya while referee were Ankit Sagwan and Devyani Nighoshkar.

Stipend of Shiksha-Mitra to go up

CM Akhilesh Yadav has promised to U.P. Prathmik Shiksha Mitra Sangh delegates who had met him on 2nd May that the stipend of Shiksha Mitra would be raised substantially since 3500/- p.m. is too low an amount for sustenance of their respective families. District Chairpeson Naresh Kumar has further informed that U.P. Govt. has forwarded on 8th may, a proposal to Central Govt. seeking raise in stipend amount and as soon as the proposal is approved, a G.O. would be issued by the U.P. Govt.  He further warned the Centre that if the proposal is turned down, a massive dharna and gherao of the Parliament would be staged on 18th June in Delhi.

Personality Development Camp for the female teachers

Jan Kalyan Mahila Vikas Samiti in association of Balaji Socal Welfare Society is conducting a Personality Development camp for the female teachers in which time management, goal-setting, discipline, behavioural science, body language, dress sense, living style, eating habits, character, good conversational skills and self-teaching were extensively covered by the faculty.  The workshop was conducted at Balaji Academy, Durgapuri Colony.

Anamika Sharma, Ved Prakash Popli, S. Daljeet Singh Kochar, Dr. Qudsia Anjum, Diwakar Gupta and Dr. Neelam Thakur were among the notables who were present there.

Jain College Students Union furious over mismanagement

Various agitationists belonging to the Chhatra-Sangh of JVJain College, Saharanpur led by Ambul Chaudhary and Pankaj Umri staged a dharna in front of Principal’s Office to press their demands.  When the Principal was found to be clueless as regards the solution to the problems mentioned by the Students Union, the Union President Ambul Choudhary talked with the VC of C.C.S. University who told that the matter was to be settled at the College level only.

Mother’s Day at Khalsa Public School

Principal of Khalsa Public School Dimple Bajaj told the school children that their first and the greatest teacher is their own mother whom they should listen to and obey. Drawing competition involving students from 1st to 10th std. was also organised in the school in which the participants were to depict social issues like Pollution / Population Explosion and Corruption. More than 100 students participated in the event. Saiba, Sheeza, Nishtha, Anmol, Abhay, Kirti, Aditya, Saima, Uzama, Amit, neha, Kartik, Mayank, Vaishnavi, Tanushree, Rahul, Fabia, Kajal, Muskan, Atul and many more children actively participated.  Smt. DIG DC Mishtra inaugurates Homoeo Clinic in Madhav Nagar

The homoeo clinic of Dr. Anshul Singh on Ravi Dass Marg, Madhav Nagar, Saharanpur was inaugurated by DIG Durga Charan Mishra. Jigar Jobelputra of Royal Bank of Scotland was also present on the occasion.  Padmashree Bharat Bhushan, Dr. P.D. Garg and Dr. R.K. 4 cricketers of SRE got selected for Under-19 cricket state level trial matches

For the Under-19 trial matches scheduled for 14-20 May at Kanpur, Arjun Chouhan, Mohd. Wajid, Madhur Chodhary and Shanu Saini have been shortlisted from Saharanpur. While Shanu Saini will have to report on 14th May, other three players will be reporting on 17th May by 4.00 p.m. at Kamla Club, Kanpur.

District Cricket Association (Regd.) Saharanpur Gen. Secretary and ex-Ranji player Sanjeev Jakhmola and others have expressed their happiness and have wished these players all the success in their test of telent and stamina.

SRE Adhivakta Association celebrates Parshuram Jayanti

A large number of advocates assembled today on 13th May at the main hall of Saharanur Association to celebrate Parshuram Jayanti.  Bar Sangh Chairperson Isam Singh, Advocate presided over the function and Gen. Secretary Rajeev Sharma Advocate convened the program.  The meeting was addressed by Sh. Pramod Sharma Advocate, Vikram Singh Joshi Advocate, Rashid Jamil Advocate, Jai Prakash Sharma Advocate, Sushil Arya Advocate, Braj Bhushan Sharma Advocate, V.N. Sharma Advocate.

The advocates who were present included Sidhharth Shankar Tyagi, Aditya Angiras, Pramod Sharma, Pradeep Sharma, Teg Singh Pundir, Rakesh Sahal, Kuldeep Tyagi, Shailendra Tiwari, Mehtab Ali Khan, Shravan Sharma, Jaswant Saini among others.  Many who spoke on the occasion referred to the terrorism prevelent in the country and sought to abolish it with the same determination with which Bhagwan Parshuram had abolished terrorism 21 times during his life time.  The meeting resolved to fight against terrorism with all its might.

Mass Movement to get rid of social evils

Akhil Bhartiya Brahmin Maha Sangh called a large meeting at the residence of State General Secretary Rajesh Pundit at Paper Mill Road.  Expressing great concern over spread of various social evils, the meeting extensively discussed ways and means to eradicate such evils which are eating into social fabric and harmony among various segments of the society.  The meeting also favoured the view that the reservation in its present caste-based form should be replaced with a need-based reservation system which would be more in conformity with the spirit of our Constitution.  A need for kick-starting a mass movement was felt by everyone which should continue till the coveted goals are achieved.  The meeting was convened by Anil Sharma and Dr. Mahesh Sharma and was presided over by Pt. Goverdhan Das Sharma.

The meeting was attended by Sh. Surendra Kapil, Ex-MLA Saharanpur who is also the Convenor of Brahmin Samaj Sewa Samiti, Pt. BSP Saharanpur celebrates Parshuram Jayanti

Congratulating Saharanpurians on the occasion of Parshuram Jayanti,  Dinesh Sharma Dist. Vice President of BSP Saharanpur Unit and various other office bearers expressed dire need to follow the ideals and principles of Bhagwan Parshuram Ji.

Rajkeey Nurses Sangh celebrates Nursing Day

Gathered at Dist. Women Hospital Saharanur, members of U.P. Rajkeey Nurses Sangh, Saharanpur Chapter celebrated birth day of “Lady with the Lamp” Florence Nightingale with lots of fanfare.  CMS Dr. R.K. Sharma and CMS (Women Hospital) Dr. Madhu Saxena lighted the lamp and expressed their great pleasure in celebrating the birth of internationall acclaimed Florence Nightingale who was born 12th May 1820 in Italy but through her exemplary devotion and dedication towards her patients become the darling of the world. Fondly referred to as ‘Lady with the Lamp’ Florence Nightingale had given away all her worldly possessions in persuit of her life’s goal and established first Nursing School in the world despite strong resistence from her parents who wanted her to marry and lead a ‘happy’ life.

Dev Kumar, Ilam chand, R.R. Verma, Sushma Bansal, Evlin Tyagi, Mandeep Babu also addressed the gathering. Sunaina Alam thanked everyone and referred to this day as no less a festival than any other for the nurses community who spend all their live in service to the ailing humanity.

Dental Check up camp to celebrate Shri Shri’ B’day

Saharanpur 13th May :  Saharanpur Chapter of ‘Art of Living’ organisation today celebrated birthday of Shri Shri Ravi Shankar by offering free dental check up to more than 151 people.  Talking to the scribes, B.K. Kamal told that this was a unique style and indeed a great art of living to celebrate birthday of their revered Guru in this manner.

The founder teachers of Saharanpur Chapter of Art of Living Shalabh Agarwal, Milan Mehta and Ashish Sharma offered floral tributes to the picture of Shri Shri Ravi Shankar and lighted the lamp.  Asit Singhal, President of the Chapter formally inaugurated the health-check up camp by cutting the ribbon.  Various dental surgeons e.g. Dr. Ashima Singhal, Dr. Gargi, Dr. Harminder and Dr. Mitki offered their selfless services to the cause of humanity by conducting dental check ups of more than 151 persons. Free toothpaste and tooth brush were also distributed in the camp.

Art of Living, brought from concept to reality by Shri Shri Ravi Shankar in 1982 has come to be regarded as one of the largest voluntary organisations of the country. It has had favourable impact on the lives of more than 20 million people.  Today, i.e. 13th May is the day when Shri Shri came to this world in 1956 in Tamil Nadu. ‘Sudarshan kriya’ – a simple yet highly effective breathing technique developed by Shri Shri Ravi Shankar is taught and practised in Art of Living camps to help people get rid of stress and various health related problems.

Kidz Plume Int’l conducts Health Check up of Students

Saharanpur 13 May :  Kidz Plume International School, Chhabra Complex, Ambala Road organised a detailed health check up camp of its students and advised parents wherever some health-related problems  were discovered among the students. A team led by Dr. Prashant Khanna undertook the responsibility of examining health status of  all the students including their dental check up.

The parents thanked the school authorities, esp. Dr. H.N. Agarwal – Director of the School and Km. Anchal Sharma, Asstt. Director for this great initiative.   The team of doctors suggested to the parents that they should motivate their children to avoid excessive watching of TV, consumption of fast-food items and confectionery products to save deterioration of their health in early age.  Eye problems and dental problems are becoming too common among toddlers these days because of watching TV from close range and eating of pastry, chocolates, candy etc.

मदर टेरेसा कालिज ने मनाया नाइटिंगेल के जन्म दिन

सहारनपुर – १२ मई ।  नर्सिंग जैसे सेवाभावी व्यवसाय की शिरोमणि मानी जाने वाली फ्लोरेंस नाइटिंगेल का जन्म दिन प्रति वर्ष नर्सिंग डे के रूप में मनाया जाता है।  हाथ में प्रकाश लिये मरीज़ों की सेवा करती हुई फ्लोरेंस नाइटिंगेल की छवि किसी भी मरीज़ के हृदय में आशा का संचार कर देने के लिये काफी है। सेवा की साक्षात्‌ प्रतिमूर्ति फ्लोरेंस नाइटिंगेल का जन्म दिन मदर टेरेसा नर्सिंग स्कूल व हॉस्पिटल में भी यदि नहीं मनाया जायेगा तो और कहां मनाया जायेगा?

कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ संस्था के अध्यक्ष डा. एस. एस. राणा, पलक राणा, शशि राव, निर्मल व श्रीमती अनूप कुमारी ने मां सरस्वती और मिस फ्लोरेंस नाइटिंगेल की प्रतिमा के समक्ष संयुक्त रूप से दीप प्रज्वलित करके किया।   इस अवसर पर अनेक सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों का भी आयोजन किया गया।  जहां सरस्वती वन्दना प्रस्तुत करते हुए विशाखा ने कार्यक्रम को आरंभ किया, वहीं मेघा, ललिता, सोनम ने पंजाबी गाने पर समूह नृत्य प्रस्तुत कर कार्यक्रम को एक नया मोड़ दिया।  बबीता रानी ने अठ्ठरा बरस की गाने पर धमाल मचाया तो रूबी कमाल और गौरव कुमार ने ज़ूबी – ज़ूबी गाने पर सबको झूमने पर विवश कर दिया।  ’डांस पे चांस मार ले’ गाने पर नृत्य करके दिव्या शर्मा ने सब की वाहवाही लूटी।

नृत्य संगीत के दौर के बाद कार्यक्रम को गंभीरता प्रदान करते हुए डा. एस. एस. राणा ने फ्लोरेंस नाइटिंगेल के जीवन चरित्र का परिचय दिया। उन्होंने बताया कि फ्लोरेंस नाइटिंगेल का जन्म इटली के एक धनाढ्य परिवार में १२ मई १८२० को हुआ था और १७ वर्ष की आयु तक पहुंचते पहुंचते उन्होंने अनुभव कर लिया था कि उनके जीवन का सर्वप्रमुख उद्देश्य मरीज़ों की सेवा करना ही है।  उन्होंने नर्सिंग स्कूल की भी स्थापना की।

महिला व्यक्तित्व विकास प्रशिक्षण शिविर का आयोजन

सहारनपुर – ११ मई ।   बालाजी सोशल वैल्फेयर सोसायटी, जन कल्याण महिला विकास समिति और Personality Development मंच ‘उमंग-तरंग’ के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में आज बालाजी एकेडमी में “महिला व्यक्तित्व विकास प्रशिक्षण  शिविर का आयोजन किया गया।  कार्यक्रम की मुख्य अतिथि डा. कुदसिया अंजुम ने इस अवसर पर प्रतिभागी महिलाओं को जीवन व कैरियर में सफलता के टिप्स देते हुए कहा कि अपनी क्षमताओं को लेकर  आत्म विश्वास मन में हो, हमें जो कहना है, करना है, उसके बारे में हमारा दृष्टिकोण स्पष्ट हो तो हमारी वाणी में प्रभाव स्वयमेव ही आ जाता है।   यदि हम स्वयं ही आशंकित हों कि हम जो कह रहे हैं वह सही है या नहीं तो हम दूसरे को प्रभावित कैसे कर सकते हैं?

इससे पूर्व बालाजी एकेडमी की प्रबन्ध निदेशिका  डा. नीलम ठाकुर व प्रधानाचार्या मीनाक्षी कपूर,  उमंग-तरंग की अध्यक्ष अवनीत कौर व जन कल्याण महिला विकास समिति की महासचिव अनामिका शर्मा और वेद प्रकाश पोपली ने अतिथियों का स्वागत किया और उनका परिचय कराया।   अवनीत कौर ने इस कार्यक्रम के आयोजन के महत्व पर प्रकाश डाला ।   वेद प्रकाश पोपली ने आगे भी ऐसे आयोजन करते रहने का विश्वास दिलाया।
